Infor Global Solutions’ New CEO: Taking the Company into the Future
One of the biggest decisions any major corporation in the United States has to make is the appointment of new leaders, and that is exactly what enterprise software giant Infor did in 2010. Infor Global Solutions is one of the many privately held corporations in the United States that specializes in the emerging market for business processing software development. Founded in 2002 carrying the name Agilisys, Infor Global Solutions has quietly made its way to becoming one of the largest enterprise software distributors in the country today, with a customer base that is over 70,000 strong, and a workforce comprised of more than 8000 employees in 164 countries.
In 2010, Infor named former Oracle Corporation head Charles Phillips as its new CEO. By signing, he acquired an experienced leader whose expertise will prove to be an invaluable asset in the company’s growth and continuing success. His role Chief Executive Officer was to preside over global fields operations and his impressive track performance while serving as co-president of Oracle Corporation was enough reason to convince Infor Global Solutions that they can use his diverse skill set, industry experience, and leadership qualities in their drive towards market dominance. His commitment to doing what’s best for the company is one of the reasons why he was also elected into Infor’s Board of Directors.
Prior to joining Infor, Charles Phillips spearheaded some of Oracle’s most successful acquisition campaigns. In his seven and a half year stay at Oracle, his performance as acquisitions executor, customer advocate, and eventually co-president landed the company partnerships with some of the biggest and most well-respected names in the industry such as BEA Systems, Hyperion, and Siebel Solutions.
With the entry of Charles Phillips Infor Global Solutions’ gained an independent director who can lead the company into its next stage of development. His participation in many of Infor’s major transaction has led to a considerable growth in the company’s profits, revenues, and stock market value. With the company’s future in mind, this former United States Marines Captain promises to be in the pilot’s seat when Infor Global Solutions’ plans of providing even better enterprise software solutions to their clients take off.
